Transformers - Comvoy no Nazo (J).nesTranslation description
This is a complete translation patch for one of the worst games ever. One of the endings might be wacky as I only got to one of them, but it probably doesn't matter anyway.Screenshots

This is a perfect example of a short-and-sweet hack in which it doesn't change much, but what little it does, it does very well. The stylized Transformers logo on the title screen looks gorgeous with both the Autobots and Decepticons insignias, and is arguably the best of the current offerings. Elite Hacking Force's is a good first attempt but the design looks very janky and unbalanced. No Talent's version has their name splashed across the top in a white banner, which I feel is too prominent. Stardust Crusaders' version has that "official release" touch to it, and is the only one that retains the Takara copyright on the bottom. Past that, I don't have much else to say. This game is so absurdly bad that I can't even get past the first level, so the one screenshot of the ending screen featured here is the only way I'd know what any of the three endings look like. Based on that, the typeface renders crisp, and the ending text reads clean enough in English. Overall, not much there, but an excellent job nonetheless. The title screen looks fantastic, the ending text looks fine, and that's really all there is to it. Not really a game worth playing, but at least it's the closest thing we have to an official stateside release. Many thanks to Stardust Crusaders for making this happen. Highly recommended, even if the game itself isn't. | |||
