Translation description

This is complete translation patch for Mad City, the Japanese version of Bayou Billy. The game is much easier and features more content than its American counterpart. It's near perfect, so enjoy.

For the American version, the Quiz mode and 3 more endings were removed. With this patch, you'll be able to experience the full game.

This Game Is Actually BeatableEldrethor2021-08-31Version 1.0

Back in the day, developers loved making their games extra hard for the US market to either artificially extend playtime, or encourage people to buy the game instead of paying for a one-night rental from the video store. Bayou Billy is one such game, and I've never beaten it to this day.

This translation of Mad City is the perfect solution to that problem. The English is fluid and natural, the font looks nice and crisp, and everything is clean and legible. It's such a superb job that it can easily pass for an official stateside release from Konami.

There's not much more that can be said about this hack. If you've had Bayou Billy sitting on your shelf unbeaten, taunting you with its absurd difficulty, go for this hack and finish what you started. Highly recommended.

What a difference!NesDraug2019-08-07Version 1.0

I always loved the music in Adventures of Bayou Billy and hated the gameplay. So frustrating. So hard. Takes forever to just knock down one guy.

It just baffles me that Konami would release a game that's HARDER outside of Japan. This translation makes the game playable and enjoyable. Still hard. But challenging hard. Not impossible.
