| A very unique Zelda experience | Ok Impala! | 2021-02-17 | Version 1.0 |
Zelda: Ancient Stone Tablets might be the most unknown Zelda game ever released. As a Japan only release for the obscure SNES Satellaview, this game never got the credits it deserves. Zelda: Ancient Stone Tablets uses the tile set and world of A Link to the Past, but gives it a completely new spin. The goal is to finish 8 new dungeons in 4 hours and try to get the highest score possible. Meanwhile you're given hints in real-time through a live audio broadcast. It's a unique Zelda experience that's highly recommended! The English translation is very polished and every little thing is translated. Only small critique I have is that it seems to be a pretty literal translation. Therefore you'll see the sentence "is that so?" a lot in the audio dialogue. But overall, the translation is very professional, with no grammar errors or technical issues. After the release of this English patch on RHDN, an English dub for the audio was created. Since it's too big for RHDN, you can find those files on: http://bszelda.zeldalegends.net/sekibanfiles.shtml Zelda: Ancient Stone Tablets was long thought to be lost. Make sure you don't miss this little gem, now it's available in all it's glory!

This is the first Translation/Rom Hack I have ever played based off of The Legend of Zelda - A Link to the Past. When you start, you can choose to be a Male or Female character. You wake up near the Eastern tower instead of Link's House. Like in the original game, you start off without a sword nor a shield. Your starting weapon is the Bee in a Jar that when released, automatically attacks enemies near you then flies back to you like a pet! Not long afterwards you get your sword, shield, bombs, arrows, and running boots! Although small in size, the first dungeon itself had at least 6 hidden rooms. And every hidden room has rewards. And yes that familiar "secret revealed" audio chime would play each and every time. Remember..., this game [The Legend of Zelda - Ancient Stone Tablets] was developed entirely by Nintendo and it shows. Big thanks to Euclid for bestowing this English translation patch to the community!
