Double Dragon III is the obvious black sheep of the original series, both in arcades and on the NES. The NES version is more famous for its high level of challenge and the "Bimmy" typo in its intro than anything else. Acclaim's retranslation of DD III was otherwise decent and there's always the Tradewest prototype if you want a closer translation to that of the original game. The difficulty in the Famicom game is a bit more forgiving though - it's arguably the best version available and this hack lets you play it in English. No one really plays the Double Dragon games for the story, but it's good to have a patch like this available. Recommended! | |||
