This is a pretty good translation. It makes the menus navigable for English speakers and the main story line mostly understandable. I never ran into any issues with the game crashing either. This is a fun and well-made F-Zero game and worth playing with this translation patch.

The existing translation patch that had been on RHDN for a decade now always crashed right after completing your first race and therefore was always a bit useless in practice.

Needless to say, this version doesn't seem to crash at all, so that's good!

The only "downgrade" vs the older existing translation is that the "Story Line" has only about half as many chapters translated, but from what I can tell this "Story Line" is merely just a summary of each episode in the anime "F-Zero - Falcon Densetsu", so you might as well just watch said anime and not worry about the "Story Line" (especially since it isn't like F-Zero GX where the story doubles as a mission mode and has actual gameplay - each "Story Line" chapter is literally just a bonus unlockable depicting a scrollable text box and a couple small images and nothing else as shown by in the screenshots)
