Translation description
This patch translates King of Dragons for SNES from English to Spanish.
This is the first existing translation from English to Spanish of this game that completely translates the texts with accents and special symbols of Spanish language, as the "ñ" letter, and the opening question and exclamation marks, "¿", "¡". It also adds accents to big letters, that appear after defeating a boss. It's the first translation to Spanish of KOD, besides, to translate those graphics of the game that contain texts, such as the words "WORLD MAP", "STAGE ??", character class names (Elf, Wizard, Warrior, Cleric, Dwarf) and "Player select" logo in the player selection screen, Magic Crystals' descriptions, level-up items, and others. At the same time, it is respectful with the original art and font style of such graphics, including in the complicated cases the Spanish equivalent underwritten, without altering the original art, in a sort of bilingual style, as is the case of "Player Select" big logo, or "Magic Crystals" big logo.
The texts and graphics have been translated by Rod Mérida. The translation has been beta-tested by Vicks Dg, both from the translation group Crackowia. This patch requires to be applied over a headered ROM. Two versions of this translation have been produced and released: one translates the US NTSC version, and the other translates the European PAL version. Both patches can be accessed inside the .zip file.
Unfortunately this game didn't arrive to European territory in other than English language, as well as the original Arcade version, so many children and teenagers couldn't understand its texts. These two patches intend to amend this situation.
