Translation description

In the second season of Digimon, viewers were given a brief flashback of how Ken Ichijouji became the cruel Digimon Emperor. Like several other parts of Season 2, they didn't elaborate any further on it. Fortunately, a series of games were released that gave the full story, in ways that are both confirmed and contradicted by the show itself.

Unfortunately these games came out on the Wonderswan, which never left the islands of Japan, so English speaking fans missed out on the adventures of Ken and and the game's hero Ryo Akiyama... until now!

Years in the making, this is the author's largest project to date. In addition to the translation itself, screen layouts and the game's code have been altered to better accommodate the longer English names. Several visual glitches from the original game have also been fixed to improve the experience.

Get ready to purify evil Digimon, fuse your Digimon partners together for more power (seriously, you'll be doing that a lot), and save TWO Digital Worlds!

This translation does the job perfectly; you shall only find bugs if you really search for it. Since this game is so obscure, it almost feels like a brand "new old" game! As for the gameplay, i just finished it and have an important suggestion. The requirements of the fusion/jogress system is pretty outdated, and most players will not waste time to do 50-80 fusions to get a Mega evolution (they will stick to ultimates, at most, like i did). So, it would be VERY helpful to have a patch that reduce this requirements or that at least accelerate the acquisition of jogress points (it seems that traded digimons had this acceleration by default). Doing so would easily fix most of the outdatedness of the gameplay!

The truth is that it is an impeccable translation, at no time is it bugea or anything like that, texts of dialogues are not shortened, but the names of the digimon are shortened, still one of the most incredible translations I saw. Hope you can translate the ryo games that follow, D1 tamers and Brave Tamers.
