I think it goes without saying that the older Pokemon games are considered classics by many. And this game which was unfortunately cancelled, in my opinion is a classic that has eluded the public for years, until 2020, when the Japanese prototype released online. I have played the game with this translation hack to 100% completion. The translation is a perfect job, it does what it says on the tin. On a side note, I did notice a few things with the game that I think could be fixed to make it a more polished and complete game. I will state though that this is nothing to do with this translation hack, but with the prototype game itself. Of course, it is not the intention of this particular hack to do anything other than translate the text, so the issues I noticed are unrelated to this hack and will not even attempt to mark this hack down for faults of the original prototype rom. I will list them here because I will probably forget in time:
Lastly, it's not really a fault per-se, but something I'd personally like to see added, is to have an option on the menu to select "sound test" to acccess the sound test screen without requiring to use a game genie code. Just to reiterate; these things are what I noticed with the game itself and are not the results of this translation hack, but of the original prototype, things that the original developers may or may not have intended to fix should the game have not been cancelled so many years ago. As far as the translation hack itself goes, it is perfect, highly recommended and the only way to experience this game.

Pretty decent translation, almost as if it were official, like what Ziko said; Only gripe, even for how minor it is, is that the title graphic has a bit of an unofficial stink to it. I went through the liberty of making a new title graphic based on the 3DS version of Pokémon Picross, but it appears I can't attach photos to reviews here... If you have like, a Twitter or something, I can probably send you my mockup, for your consideration...

This translation does exactly what'd I expect. Quality-wise, it's almost like a full blown localization and in my time using this patch, I've noticed no errors and the text is easy to read too. I really do enjoy the title being redone as big blue Katakana wasn't easy on the eyes and clashes with the orange pixel background. I know that the dex entries and safari haven't been touched but personally I really don't care much for the safari mode and I think perhaps the dex entries can be translated at some point but it's unnecessary as much of them probably are recycled from the Gen 1 games anyway and they would feel redundant. I would definitely recommend this patch knowing eventually the thing will most likely be updated.
