Translation description

Despite the popularity of Pokémon in Latin America, there is not an exclusive translation of Pokémon games for that territory, first receiving the video game in English and then inheriting the translation from Spain, which contains very different terms from those used within the franchise in Latin America.

This new version of Pokémon Emerald is 100% translated exclusively for Latin America.

It is a great translation, as a Latin American fan is great to see some representation, as well as improvement on the game dialogue, however as someone who hasn't seen that much of the anime and that has played all the games it is weird sometimes to read the new names of the attacks and the cities, I'm more familiar with the Spanish (version) names of the cities and the attacks and I would believe that having a second version of the patch where only the dialogue (and possibly the pokedex entries) are changed, would be a perfect balance, for the rest amazing work and will try to test the patches for the other games.
