Reviews

finally a translation of this gameYoshiWhite622021-11-19Version 1.0

I am grateful that this project has been completed since I always wanted to play this game but it was complicated because it was in Japanese. The first version that was uploaded I liked and this final version I loved. It is a card game (genre that is not much to my liking) but since I am a lover of uu-Gi-Oh, I was always curious to play this game - and in the end I ended up playing it. The translation felt like an official one made by Konami.

I played this a bit, and as the description indicates, the translation is rather barebones. Playable, for sure, but clearly in need of more time in the oven, so to speak. Should Darrman decide to continue refining this hack, might I provide a suggestion? While I personally have no qualms with the localized character names (Maximillion Pegasus, Joey Wheeler, etc.), for the sake of providing the option, could you perhaps put out an alternate patch that retains the Japanese names (Pegasus J. Crawford, Jonouchi Katsuya, etc.)? It's certainly not a requirement, just an idea to appease angry "purists" who would stop at nothing to tear you down over a few name choices. (Believe me, I know what that's like.) Regardless, this is an impressive undertaking, and I would recommend this if you want the novelty of playing a children's card game on Game Boy.
