This game is not only pretty easy, but also easy to pick up as-is since there's not much important information locked behind a language barrier. However, having this makes the experience much better for those aren't Japanese literate, since you can follow what the expressions in the cutscenes actually mean, especially those who are Cotton fans or shmup junkies. This is a pretty cool translation for this game as a result.

An absolute masterpiece. I don't remember a single typo or something in the translation. It's not necessary to play the game but the English translation adds a lot of charm to the game that non-Japanese people couldn't enjoy so far.

Now you actually get why Cotton's makes the facial expressions etc.

Also it's pretty beginner-friendly and not only for shmup-heads.

Märchen Adventure Cotton 100% was so far an unknown game for me. You're flying on your broom through seven different levels and fight against different types of enemies who want to prevent you from rescuing the so called "Willows". You can shoot, use bombs and cast different kinds of magic. The more enemies you defeat the better your "weapons" become - which you'll surely need for the bosses! The game reminded my slightly of Parodius for the SNES however there are some varieties. Though the game is a little bit short it's absolutely fun playing it. If you think it's too easy just try the hard mode - and it's going to be a lovely challenge!

I played through the game last night and it was as if I was playing a officially translated version. Sentences runs smoothly and everything is just right. I recommend playing this version as it's perfect and flawless (as far as I was able to observe. I highly recommend using this patch and playing this game as it's fun! Thanks for this hackers/ patchers/ translators!
