| Fantastic sprite work as well as the overall translation | tsubasaplayer16 | 2023-09-27 | Version 1.1a |
Fantastic work on the hacking and translating the sprites throughout the game. The style of the English texts on the objects and other sprites throughout the game are very fitting, like the obstacle pillars on level 4. While the game itself is totally playable on its own without the translation, you would still want to have this solely because it also has SRAM saving as well to not only save your high scores, but also settings as well. I don't like having the roulette on, so keeping it off as I boot the game on my flash cart makes it an excellent addition to have on top of the translation. I do have one bit of criticism though - I noticed that the Glory of the Past has some extra dialogue, he doesn't also say "Sorry, there's no treasure here" after "Yo, I'm Mr. Past Glory" (やあ、私が過去の栄光くんです) I'm guessing that it's there because it might have not flowed well nicely in English as it is, but to me it seems fine with him just greeting himself (without the extra part) and then saying "Well then, see ya" straight up. If anything, if the flow of the (short) conversation is a serious concern, I would probably replace the 2nd dialogue with "Anyway, it's nice knowing ya" or "Anyway, see ya" since that and the actual translation give a similar tone of the overall message delivery. However, just saying "Yo, I'm Mr. Past Glory" "Well then, see ya" is what I would go with anyway since that's what it resembles the most overall. Regardless, I'm enjoying the game much more with the SRAM saving and having it in my native language in the most accurate way possible rather than just me getting the actual raw SFC cartridge. Shmup fans would definitely get some enjoyment out of this. Excellent work for the people involved! Or should I say, Fantastic work!

| A Well Done Translation With Soul | Ziko | 2023-08-07 | Version 1.0 |
I've been playing this game's translation through various states up until it's final release and I was blown away by how well translated the quips and dialogue was done especially in a series with a lot of Japanese puns and humor and that's not an easy task to accomplish. One point I'd like to make are the megaphone lines and some of them are so funny as one is literally the Konami Code. Fantastic Parodius has become my second favorite game in the series at this point besides the Famicom & Game Boy versions.

Much care seems to have been given to preserve or adapt insider jokes and old references. Very good job and probably the best way now to play this great game. Strongly recommended.
