Translation description

A multiplatform and multilanguage patch for the arcade title Mayjinsen 3, allowing it to run on both Aleck64 E92 boards and retail N64 NTSC consoles. Features include:
* English and Japanese can be freely selected using a DIP switch, effective on reset.
* Semi-automatic hardware detection based on controller configuration. Virtualization of switches on home consoles, saving settings to EEPROM if available.
* Four different tilesets available: original, traditional, hidetchi, and alphabetical.
* A built-in EEPROM manager is available if you hold SERVICE at boot.
* The bug preventing the designation for drops is fixed.
* Test Mode is available by pressing the TEST switch during the attract sequence.

Refer to the readme for more information.
----
Due to multiple platform targets, patches are included for both big and little-endian ROMs.

A labour of love for the most unexpected game possiblerari_teh2024-03-14Version 1.0

I still can't believe the madlad made a custom crafted ROM that detects what Nintendo 64-based system it's being run on and adjusts itself accordingly, with a custom options menu that allows for software DIP switch settings and more, including a fan translation to English with optional alternate tiles, and all for an obscure shogi game on a failed arcade system. This hack makes me want to properly learn shogi. Zoinkity has to be one of my favourite romhackers fr.

Oh, and for whom it may concern: you can emulate this using Project64 Dev-4.0.0.5754-3eec943 with GLideN64. The latest version of the emulator hangs on boot.
