This editor can still be very useful for projects. Despite being mostly outclassed now by other graphics editors, the ability to edit graphics by assembling them into custom layouts is extremely helpful. Use this if you're looking to edit complex tile arrangements.

This great tool allows you to modify sprites in a very easy and simple way. It has been very useful to me when creating my own hacks. Despite the name, it is designed to be used by any beginner or hobbyist like me. This is an excellent example of how a tool should be: simple and easy to use.

To be honest, this is pretty useful! Why? It is useful for starters in ROM hacking because it is easy to use. You can even edit the preview colors in this utility! There isn't much to say here. But yeah, if you are new to ROM hacking, you should give this a go!

Tile Layer Pro has been superseded by Tile Molester. However if you don't need many of the advanced features of Tile Molester Tile Layer Pro is a great choice because it is very fast and error free. Also a good choice for beginners looking to explore graphics editing.
