Utility description

A program to view and edit the palettes on the Legend of Zelda story text. When you're done editing the story to your liking, create the IPS and patch your .nes file with the generated IPS. I recommend LunarIPS but any IPS patching program should work just as well.

The required font is included in the .zip file. You can install it to your ..WindowsFonts directory if you want, but you shouldn't need to. Hopefully that's all sorted out. (wasn't working great in an earlier version)

* In the story text the character "_" is a marker used to show that there is a quotation mark below them. I left it like this because that's the common character used in most .tbl files. In the hex an F8 in the blank lines of story text (FF2424...2424FF) render in game as quotes on the line below them. ()# are used to symbolize the different types on vine graphics... again, this is what most .tbl files use, so that's what I stuck with.

Very easy to useSven Cakemann2017-03-08Version 1.2

As said in the headline, this program is very simple to use. My antivirus did have an issue with it the first time I tried running it (Avast) but after a false-positive scan, I was able to very easily open up and edit the text of my Zelda rom.

The "Show colors" ticker is a grid that took a second to put together what combo of numbers made which colors (and I'd recommend having a white/grey column/row scheme in future versions for visual clarity) were gonna be used, but everything did end up working very well in the end.

Attached below is something I threw together using the 1.2 version of this tool; a summarized version of Zelda 2's intro put into Zelda 1's text crawl. Be patient with this tool and I highly recommend it.
