In one sentence, what this archive contain ease the Battle Background (BBG) palette editing
by allowing BBG images with correct palette order to be edited in Gimp, then their palettes imported in the ROM.
The archive contain:
an exporter: Export all BBG palettes to Microsoft RIFF format
a converter: Convert an existing BBG rip to 8bpp indexed image with ROM palette order
an importer: Import Gimp text palette file (.txt) to correct ROM BBG palette
All 32bpp 256x147 BBG rips, final converted 8bpp indexed BBG images (usable in Gimp) and all RIFF BBG palettes
Note: All available BBG rips on the internet are 240x141, removing the game window border allow bigger rips such as the ones included. While RIFF palette can be imported manually in Gimp, doing so on an indexed BBG will still result in incorrect palette order regardless of import technique due to Gimp code behavior on palette file import, using the converter if needed is a better option.
