Small, effective and incredibly useful!

A useful program for quick patches of NES games.

Convenient, low memory consumption, practical and simple. I pressed a couple of buttons, and that's it.

There are other Patchers, however, if not required for other games (other platforms), this is what you need

This patching tool is absolutely easy to use and one of the most known tool on my list. Only minor problem is that it doesn't recognize FDS files directly during patching, but this isn't problem for me at all.

Lunar IPS is the best, use it all the time. Works on many roms except for .md (Sega Genesis/MegaDrive). These roms have to be converted to a recognizable format first (like smd).

i'm new to romhacking...so i was really confused when it came time to make a rom patch ^_^"

but after figuring the right order to do things...i created my first pokemon patch with it !!

...it works great on N64 ROMs too, specifically F-Zero X. It will not work on N64 ROMs greater than 16MB because the ReadMe states so but F-Zero X is that size so how lucky. I sure hope this program supports greater sizes in the future.

This patcher is really quick and easy to use. You can use it to apply a patch to a rom or to create a patch from two roms.

I can't compare this program to other patchers because I haven't used other patchers. This one did the job so well that I have no desire to look for an alternative.

Lunar IPS is small, light and most importantly, it works reliably. It's GUI is as fool-proof as it gets too, so there is really no need to use another patching utility for simple IPS patching/creation.

I've always liked this little program. There are those tools out there that try to include several functions in addition to a patch, but this has the patcher and nothing else. With the simple GUI it's pretty idiot-proof and anyone can make patches, or apply them. Good stuff.
