Though I only used this editor to make a quick text edit hack of Googie's Super Wario Bros. 3, I was impressed by what this program was able to accomplish. It made editing text in SMB3 fast and easy, and the text limits built into the editor helped me avoid any mistakes in character sentence sizing and create the best possible script for my hack. Try it out if you're wanting to make your own SMB3 hack.

As much as I want to support the work of those who've labored to build a utility, I happen to know this one simply hasn't been maintained for many many years, and is barely functional. It's downright broken in some ways, in fact.

I do not recommend using this. You may end up thinking you're doing something wrong and give up on your hack. It's not you, it's the program!

If you could ever somehow find a copy of version 1.6, it is supposedly better, but good luck finding that one! (hint: it's no longer out there, folks.)

Instead, I recommend using Chaos Composer's HEX tables which allow you to edit the game's text from a HEX editor, while viewing it in English characters in real-time.
