Utility description

This is a NES tile editor. It can create raw CHR-ROM files from scratch, or edit ROM's which have CHR-ROM directly (but not those which store graphics in PRG-ROM). It's aimed at a Linux platform which is lacking in similar programs, but should run on any system with Python and PyGTK installed (has been confirmed to work in Windows if Python and PyGTK are installed). It is a bit buggy, though, and hasn't been tested much.

The latest version fixes a bug which prevented it from running on displays not set in 16-bit mode.
