The main goal of the Final Fantasy 6:Strategic Battle patch is to give the player more strategic options in the game. It is the merging of the majority of HatZen08's patches, with custom configurations.

(Review for version 1.0) A mixture patch like this is a great option for people who want more than one of the patch's effects. Most of these patches are great, with the exception of two: the Automatic Healing, which just by itself breaks the game to pieces, and the Luck Slot, which is extremely overpowered. Rebalancing the patch would pretty much require those two patches should be either removed or replaced with balanced (or at least more balanced relatively) but still useful patches, such as the Half Health Warning, Extra Mimic Slot, and/or Learnable Rage.
