This patch was made at the request of Tramsam500. It makes graphical and gameplay changes to make the game more enjoyable. The text was changed to look nicer. The title screen was enhanced. Marty now has a red vest like he does in the movie, as well as blue sleeves. The picture of Marty and his siblings was horrible, and also enhanced to look nicer. There is a new ending as well. Also, gameplay elements such as infinite lives has been added to the game to make it less frustrating. And last, but not least, the music has been corrected to the correct speed. Enjoy!Screenshots

Prefacing with not hating on this, as I respect all developers who take the time to do this kind of work. That said, wasn't impressed with this one. The game has been nerfed for players who helped give it the reputation of it being unbeatable (when it absolutely is). The instant win at Lou's Cafe is unnecessary in my view. I feel like there should at least be an option to attempt, with that one "enemy clear" option from the original game as the instant win. As a player who traversed the old BTTF game many times, I always look forward to the challenge of the Cafe. Why is Marty's hair and shadow red? I get the vest color change, but he looks like a bloody mess now, like he just scooped himself off the road after getting hit by Lorraine's dad with the car (going 200mph). The picture at the bottom of the screen is a graphical improvement, sure, except that it looks less like Marty now than it did before. Reminds me of a camp counselor from the Friday the 13th NES game. Lastly, if there's one thing I would've been on board with getting nerfed (but didn't), it'd be the last scene with the Delorean. With all the other challenges in the game that were tamed, I'm surprised that "one shot and out" wasn't taken away with this hack. I've always felt like if you make it to that scene with five lives left, you should get five chances to get back to the future. Again, respect for making the effort on this. But, me personally, I'd rather play the original game.
| Welcome improvement | dhennick99 | 2016-01-16 | Version 1.0 |
I actually enjoyed the game growing up and have beaten it many times. These improvements were very welcome and well done. It would be cool to update it even further with the music tempo slowed and an ending screen similar to what was done on the title screen. Aside from that, very nice work!
| Better than the original. | Sky_Yoshi | 2015-12-26 | Version 1.0 |
I think this is amazing! I just played for 1 minute and I thought, "WOW" The wrong things was fixed, the graphics was better, and more! My rage is over now thanks to this hack.
| A better experience than the original | Lance | 2015-12-14 | Version 1.0 |
I think the author did well implementing changes within Back to the Future to make it more enjoyable. I applaud his or her efforts. Unfortunately, the core of the game requires much more attention to be acceptable. This patch does not fix every single problem, but the problems that are addressed are done with good intentions.
| Nice touch-up to a poor game | Animation Guru | 2015-12-05 | Version 1.0 |
Saying whether I recommend this or not is tough. I'm inclined to say no, but only because the original game is so poor. The hack makes the game approachable and far less frustrating. If I could make a suggestion for an update to this hack, it would be to slow the music down to its intended tempo.
