| Made the game fun!! | cmmneto | 2024-03-25 | Version 1.2.3 |
First, wanted to thank Prof.9 for this wonderful work! Best fix, for me, is the pulse beam (hated the useless use of the stylus in this game!). Got 23 hours on it already! Loved the difficulty of the bosses!! Just fought Gemini Spark for the second time and had to modify my folder to be able to beat him! Not sure if it's here to put it, but I'm doing the Lunar Knight scenario and, when I enter Gemini Spark's antenna, Megaman does that small walk he normally does when pulsing in and, then, the game frezezes. Not sure if it's the rom or the fact that I'm playing injected on my Wii U, but, if possible, check it out.
| Amazing! | kkdavilyn | 2023-10-24 | Version 1.2.3 |
The sheer amount of quality of life in this hack pushes it from maybe the weakest star force game, to easily the best one. There are honestly too many things to list here as to what make it amazing, but if I had to say the best features, they would be the in-game enemy database, and maybe the power-up data. If there was anything I had to complain about it would be that the power up data is locked to pegasus form until post game, and getting the neutral power-up data is way too late in the game (have to literally 100% the game and beat andromeda dx so there's almost nothing in the game left to do with said neutral data, except maybe the boss rush.) I think the power-up data should be neutral by default, and in the post game you unlock the ability to change it to specific forms, but it's honestly not a huge issue. This hack was truly awesome and a great way to revisit Star Force 1. and its the first battle network/star force game that actually got me to 100% it with these improvements. Thank you Prof. 9 for your sick hack!
| It's Deluxe alright. | CountOrlok777 | 2022-04-14 | Version 1.2.2 |
Honestly considering you originally had 3 games (Pegasus, Leo, and Dragon)and a lot of the Japan only things were removed. Now not only is everything that was version exclusive in here, all the Japan only things were added back in. It's definitely worth a play. Also the improvements to the 2nd and 3rd game are here as well. It's certainly worth being called deluxe.
| A lovely surprise | Bulk-Up Ledian | 2021-07-20 | Version 1.1.3 |
This was fantastic, even just the sheer number of QoL improvements makes it worth playing even if you ignore all the reimplemented and newly added things. Even with all the additions there's still a lot of room for improvement, not being able to bulk-buy items is a major one, and a lot of the unique NPC Brother cards are a bit weak. I have some minor gripes with some of the balancing, Star Cards are pretty powerful but they feel good to use, add a nice level of thinking both in deck building and when to use them in battle, as well as rewarding searching out strong enemies. Power-Up Data on the other hand is just an absurd stat increase, to the point I didn't use it at all until post game. I understand why it was added, but it's maybe a bit too much. Pegasus-form's auto-lock-on was also a pain, a lot of times it would mess up my positioning and cause attacks to whiff entirely or to teleport into an attack or teleport back into an attack from other enemy. When it works it's neat, but it feels like a real clunky double edged sword. It's also extremely disorienting if you don't turn off the camera changing. It's neat but I'd really prefer a way to toggle or disable it. I was never a big Star Force fan, but this hack made the game pretty good. I don't think it'd change any strong opinions, but it's worth playing if you're in the mood for SF for whatever reason. My only question is: Are there any plans for a QoL+ hack like this for SF2?
| Such a great hack | Roxas12 | 2021-06-30 | Version 1.1.3 |
After 5 years, came looking for a hack to replay this wonderful series and i gotta say, the improvements were very fun, great and welcoming. Would totally love MMSF2 or 3 with similar improvements. Great work!
